Important: Please read before installation
Wizard files or vfxinfo.txt for VFX Software version 20090327
When importing plug-ins to the VFX Application you are prompted for two files.
1. The desired VST .dll file for installation
2. The vfxinfo.txt plug-in information wizard file (if available)
Many FREE plug-ins only require a VST format .dll file. This is fine for many installations. Other plug-ins are much more detailed and require additional supporting files such as samples, Windows registry entries, preset files, etc. The VFX Application only knows how to install these more detailed plug-ins via a plug-in information wizard file (vfxinfo.txt). Each plug-in information wizard file provides information to the V-Machine such as what files to transfer during synchronisation to the V-Machine.
Please take a look on our new Wizard page for more info and for downloading wizard files.
Mac users please note!
The V-Machine and VFX Software "only" can load Windows plug-ins. And you don't need the V-Machine hardware to run the VFX Software on your Mac!
This is what you need:
- an Intel based Mac (see system requirements above)
- the VFX Host Software for your Mac (see download link above)
- Windows plug-ins (VST format, so called .dll-files). Normally you can find these versions on the installation discs of your Mac plug-ins
- maybe you need a wizard file. Please check
our wizard file site, if you need one for your plug-in
