Q-DAC: Multi-Source Audio I/O Controller
With an eye toward providing users with sophisticated yet intuitive control over the routing of multiple audio devices in their studios, SM Pro Audio debuted the Q-DAC Multi-Source Audio I/O Controller, a half-rack size unit that allows up to five audio sources to be routed to three independent outputs. Supported inputs include iPad/iPod/iPhone, 1/8” stereo TRS, stereo RCA, balanced 1/4” TRS, and USB; outputs include balanced XLR, unbalanced stereo RCA, and stereo headphone.
The audio source input can be selected from a front panel switch or via the included infrared remote, which can also be used to control volume and various iPod/iPad/iPhone functions. Outputs are switchable on/off independently, with volume control over the main balanced and unbalanced outputs provided via a rotary Master Volume Control; the headphone output features its own dedicated level control.
